Fall Tips and Tricks

Fall is all about layering!  Layering our tables, our cushions, our clothing, etc.

One of my favorite ways to layer up a table is with breadboards.  

and this one is my favorite that we sell at the shop.

A fellow blogger taught me this.  She is a darling mom and wonderful cook.

And because it turned cold in Utah over night and brought with it hurricane force winds

it's time to layer up ourselves!

Our leopard scarf is a great transition scarf because it's not a heavy knit.

Chocolate Zucchini Cake

Ingredients

1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup oil
1 2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1/4 cup cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 cups shredded zucchini
1/2 bag chocolate chips


Beat margarine, oil, and sugar until fluffy. 

Add eggs and vanilla; mix until well blended. 

Add flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. 

Then add buttermilk and zucchini.

Pour batter into 9x13 greased baking pan and sprinkle top with chocolate chips. 

Bake for around 40-45 minutes (watch at end). 

The zucchini makes this cake VERY moist and dense and it will just melt in your mouth.

Fall Kitchen Edit

I finally decided on an apron for fall!  

 We have a wide variety of aprons to choose from at the shop.
