Easter Ideas

Without changing a lot in our home, but just by adding a few spring touches 

here and there, it brings the season to life!

I love using vintage baskets and mixing stripes with florals.

I have been collecting things a few weeks now for my boys' Easter baskets.  

They are looking to purchase a place of their own in the upcoming year and 

I have started gifting them home essentials that they won't want to buy

as they only like to buy bike-related items.  haha

Spring Favorites!

Let's start with baskets.  We prefer vintage baskets at Madeleine L'Amour.  

We carry a large variety and many unique shapes and sizes.  

We also have eco-friendly grass to fill them.  Buy a basket and get the grass free.

We also love our breadboards and our large round is my favorite and most-used breadboard.

We have added yellow linens to our kitchen.  

My favorite is our striped napkins which I also use in my bread baskets 

and a lemon tea towel (not featured).

Serving up a Veggie Night

Tonight's dinner was all about the veggies.  I prepared a veggie stir fry served over Jasmine rice with a side of more vegetables.  I used our new serving hedgehog pieces for the veggies and dip.  This week we have many new arrivals coming to kitchen.  Stay tuned!

I have recently made some changes in the way I shop.  I made the commitment to no longer take any plastic sacks.  While I have used recycle bags for my groceries for well over 10 years now I still put my fruits and veg in plastic, but not any longer.

Weekly challenge:  No longer take plastic sacks 

It's a habit worth forming

It's not difficult

And it's a step in the right direction

I recently came across an interview Anderson Cooper did with Gisele Bundchen 

and I found it so interesting and inspiring that I ordered her book Lessons.
