My Guide to Staying Cozy and Well

Staying healthy and happy is especially important during these unsettling times.

Here are a few of my tips and my favorite products.

First, let's make our homes a place we want to be.  I like having cozy blankets in almost every room and stacks and stacks of books.  As the weather turns colder it's convenient to have books ready to read.

Above is one of the softest blankets and it comes in a variety of colors.  This color is fitting for autumn and the pompom detail reminds me of an Anthropologie blanket at 1/3 the cost.  It pairs nicely with our hobnail candle at the shop.  It also makes an excellent gift.  It's currently on sale for $23.99.  Unfortunately I am never sure how long the sale will last so if you're early holiday shopping I would  quickly take advantage of the sale.

Another product that I could not live without is a good foam roller.  If you are new to foam rolling I will include more information in upcoming posts.  I recommend foam rolling not only to the athletes I work with, but anyone experiencing back, hip, knee or leg pain.  Below is the best one I've found.  My son who is an avid cyclist recommended it to me when I first experienced runner's knee from over-running.  Foam rolling has drastically reduced my pain and allowed me to continue to run and dance.

It comes in a variety of colors.  I have the hot pink, but also love the bright green.

Foam rolling is a self-myofascial release (SMR) technique. It can help relieve muscle tightness, soreness, and inflammation, and increase your joint range of motion. Foam rolling can be an effective tool to add to your warm-up or cooldown, before and after exercise.

Read more about the advantages here.

I will be adding to this post during the upcoming week.

Thank you for visiting!
