More is more in 2018!

Inspiration for 2018

Sharing my detailed list of goals soon . . .

This is a great time to re-focus,
but so is the beginning of a new day, new week, new month

Write down what you want to achieve
and go after it!

My favorite motivational quotes can be found here.

Undecorating < Decorating

Taking down Christmas decorations is never quite as fun as putting them up,
however there is something satisfying about getting organized for the new year.

I'll be sharing organizational tips this month on the blog.

When I moved into my new home a few years ago I switched out how I store all my Christmas decorations.
I now use these clear Sterilite boxes with red lids.

I love that I can easily identify what's inside without having to open the box.
I grabbed a variety of sizes so I can keep like items together.
I tackle one area at a time, then clean and redecorate as I go.
I like to start with our main tree because that takes the longest and feels the best to complete.

All of our Christmas decorations are 40% off at the shop.

If you're like me and like to add few new ornaments each year

this is the time to grab them!

Each year I add about 3-4 new ornaments and donate a few old ones.
That way our tree is always filled with favorites.

Here is a great box for storing lights and this one here is perfect for ornaments.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year!

Lots of exciting things will be happening at Madeleine L'Amour

and we appreciate you sharing them with us!

Christmas Gift Wrapping Ideas

Yesterday I almost finished my Christmas wrapping and thought I would share a few ideas.

When I wrap I like to wait until I have about 10 or more gifts and then get out all my supplies and make it a fun night.
I put on my favorite youtube channel and tuck right in.

Last year I started using decorative boxes with a few wrapped in paper.
It makes it so much faster and the boxes I will reuse year after year.  This is better for the environment too.
I use boxes from our shop and from Sugar Paper found here.

The inside of the boxes are so pretty that no tissue paper is required.
When the tree comes down I pack up the boxes and store for the next year.
They are all nesting boxes so it makes storing them a cinch.

Since my two boys were little I would build excitement by slipping a few gifts under the tree as Christmas approaches.
I will put little hints on tags as to what is inside.  I have done this for years.
They are older now, but I still can't resist.

And because my mountain biking boys are missing riding in the mountains
I brought some evergreens to them.

When I purchase a gift I write it down in my planner and then when it's wrapped I check it off.
I try to have the same number of prezzies for each boy.

We will be open late tonight until 7 p.m. and would love to help you wrap!

We can text gift cards right up until Christmas Eve.  Text (801) 232-3276 for the details.

Happy Holidays!
